This is the first release of Hasbro's new 8 inch Black Series Hyperreal figures. The Vader figure is based upon the armour from Empire Strikes Back.
Firstly, I am very happy with the detailed packaging. Vader himself is well detailed and poseable and comes with a choice of seven interchangeable hands for different poses. The cloak feels nice and he comes with an accurately detailed lightsabre. He is, perhaps a little pricey at £75, the 6 inch Black Series are typically priced at almost a quarter of this (approximately £20), but with the additional hands and the far wider range of poses, and a larger figure allowing for greater detail, it is something I am happy with. I have already pre-ordered the next figure in the range, Bespin Luke from Empire, and will probably collect any future Hyperreal releases based upon this figure. |
